Moody Bible Institute’s Founder’s Week 2018
Every year we celebrate the birthday of our founder, evangelist Dwight L. Moody, with this powerful Bible teaching conference
May 3 | 8:00 pm: Winfred Neely
Dr. Winfred Neely speaks to us about the necessity of prayer in the church to deliver us from the difficulties of life. He was a missionary in Senegal, West Africa and has pastored several churches in the Chicagoland area. Dr. Neely now teaches hermeneutics, preaching, and pastoral studies at Moody Bible Institute. He also pastors Judson Baptist Church just outside Chicago.
May 10 | 8:00 pm: Anne Graham Lotz
Anne Graham Lotz visited our campus just prior to the passing of her father, Billy Graham. She blessed us with a poignant message that touched everyone in the room deeply. May you be touched by her message as well.
May 17 | 8:00 pm: Dr. Danny Carroll
In these times, it seems peace is hard to find when there are all these walls and barriers in our society, that we grew up with, that prevent us from being one new body in Christ. Today Dr. Danny Carroll challenges us as he examines the issues of race in the Old Testament.
May 24 | 8:00 pm: J.D. Greear
“God never gives a thorn without this added grace, He takes the thorn to pin aside the veil which hides His face.” Today, J.D. Greear takes us through the book of Job to help us understand God through suffering.
May 31 | 8:00 pm: Matt Chandler
Ephesians 2:14 says “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility.” Today, Matt Chandler talks to us about this destroyed wall of hostility and one of the great themes of the Bible: racial harmony.
